S&Ds: We charged sustainability, fairness and efficiency into the future of our batteries

The European Parliament will endorse tomorrow a set of comprehensive and ambitious rules on sustainability, safety, labelling and information on batteries. The future of batteries in Europe must be socially and environmentally sustainable. Now the ball is in the Council’s court to match our ambition and finalise its position in order for the new Batteries Regulation to be swiftly negotiated and put into place.

As part of the project PEPSEA-Protecting the Enclosed Parts of the Sea in the Adriatic from Pollution, the Split-Dalmatia County organized on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. in Kaštel Gomilica media tour for journalists where the pilot location was presented and the equipment installed on it, as well as the complete equipment procured through the PEPSEA project. The media tour was attended by journalists from HRT, Slobodna Dalmacija, Dalmacija Danas, TV Jadran, Večernji list, Pixsell, HINA, TV Dalmacija, Radio Dalmacija and Dalmatinski portal.

The biomethane sector will deliver 20% of current EU gas imports from Russia by 2030

Brussels, 8 March 2022 - The European Commission communication REPowerEU released today is a decisive step towards the rapid development of the biomethane industry in Europe. “Europe needs to urgently diversify and reduce its dependence on Russian gas whilst stepping up on the ambition for the climate targets.

Europe wants more renewables to increase its energy security

Today the European Commission presented new measures in response to the rise in electricity prices across Europe. The measures are strongly influenced by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Commission wants Europe to accelerate renewables deployment to increase energy security and in particular reduce its dependency on fossil fuel imports from Russia.
