Pro-European parties in Moldova must stand together

Following the parliamentary elections held on 24 February in the Republic of Moldova, where no party reached a governing majority, the S&D Group expresses satisfaction for the overall good management of the elections. It congratulates the positive result of the Democratic Party of Moldova, and calls on all pro-European forces to be committed and united in the interest of the country.  
 

S&Ds: May should stop asking the UK Parliament the same questions and instead ask the British people

Following the confirmation by UK Prime Minister Theresa May that a meaningful vote will only be held on 12 March, two weeks before the UK is to leave the EU, S&D Group president Udo Bullmann and S&D spokesperson on Brexit Roberto Gualtieri said:

The Socialists and Democrats in the economic and monetary affairs committee abstained today on the vote on the provisional agreement resulting from negotiations between the Council and the European Parliament on the pan-European personal pension product (PEPP).
