ACCA and CPA Canada embark on new research project to understand the global infrastructure gap

A new research project has been announced between ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) to quantify the global infrastructure gap, while demonstrating how the skills and perspective of accountants improve outcomes across the entire lifecycle of an infrastructure project.
 

S&Ds vote to triple the funding for Erasmus+ and to make the programme more inclusive

The culture committee today backed new rules on the financing for the new Erasmus+ Programme. This flagship initiative to unite Europeans deserves proper funding, therefore the S&Ds proposes to triple its financing from €15 billion of the period 2014-2020 to €45 billion in the 2021-2027 period. S&Ds also call for more financial support in particular for adult education and vocational training.

Mandatory fingerprinting for new ID cards across EU is the wrong approach

S&D MEPs are disappointed that negotiators from the European Commission, Council and Parliament have agreed to new minimum standards on ID cards that would make it mandatory to collect fingerprints and include them on a chip. This was despite a strong European Parliament mandate to make it optional, allowing member states to decide at a national level. Centre-right and conservative political groups (EPP, ALDE and ECR) decided on Tuesday to accept the Council’s position of mandatory fingerprinting.
 

European Parliament backs €10 billion to help front line member states deal with asylum and migration

The European Parliament committee for civil liberties, justice and home affairs, today backed the creation of a €10 billion fund to help member states effectively manage asylum, migration and integration for the period 2021-2027.

She Runs - Active Girls’ Lead est le 1er événement scolaire international dédié à la promotion de la santé, de l’émancipation et du leadership des filles à travers le sport et l’école. Il s’agit d’un programme, développé par la Fédération Internationale du Sport Scolaire (ISF) avec le soutien de la Commission Européenne (Programme Erasmus + Sport) et en collaboration avec l’Union Nationale du Sport Scolaire (UNSS) durant la journée du 13 mars 2019 organisateur de La Lycéenne Maif Run depuis 2017.

The first edition of a worldwide school sport event – She Runs-Active Girls’ Lead

She Runs-Active Girls’ Lead is the first international school event to promote girls’ health, emancipation, and leaders hip through school sport. The programme was developed by the International School Sport Federation (ISF) with the support of the European Commission (Erasmus + Sport Programme). The event on 13 March 2019 is a collaboration with the Union Nationale du Sport Scolaire (UNSS), which has been organising the Lyceenne MAIF RUN since 2017.
