The European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA), a multi-stakeholder platform aimed at strengthening the quality, supply and image of apprenticeships in Europe, welcomed PostEurop as its new member during a joint European Parliament and European Commission Conference on “Mobility of Apprenticeships” today. As one of the largest employers in Europe and practitioners of apprenticeship programmes, postal operators feel that there is much to benefit for all from becoming a member of EAfA.

Awards organisers GCN Events are delighted once again to congratulate all the winners of the 3rd  annual European Association Awards. 

In blatant contradiction with the European External Action Service and the previous resolutions adopted by the European Parliament on Venezuela, the EPP Group and the Liberals today pushed for a resolution that opens the door to the use of force or an armed intervention and questions any mediation for a peaceful and democratic solution. 

 

Tomorrow, Friday, is the last chance for member states to support the outcome of the negotiations on an update of social security coordination rules including unemployment benefits, long-term care and family benefits as well as better rules for posting and applicable legislation. The agreement was set between the European Parliament and Council last week - but now a group of member states are trying to block the next steps to finalise the outcome.
