EIF 2021 returns next week!

Returning on 29-30 June as the European Ideas Forum, the Martens Centre flagship event takes on a broader scope to address some of the most pressing EU challenges. EIF 2021, held under the umbrella topic "A Roaring Twenties for Europe? Crises and Opportunities in the Post-Pandemic Age", will be broadcast live from Brussels, featuring a mixture of in-person and online speakers. The Forum has been awarded the European Excellence Award in the category « Best political workshop or congress » in 2017.

The European Commission and BEPA signed the Memorandum of Understanding that officially launches BATT4EU, the co-programmed partnership under Horizon Europe for the development of a competitive and sustainable European industrial battery value chain.

First CO2-capture at ARC

This week, ARC is commissioning the first pilot plant to capture CO2 from Amager Bakke’s emissions. The pilot plant is the first and very important step on the way to the full-scale plant for which ARC and CMP has just applied for EU funding. ARC aims at capturing 500.000 t/y by 2025 and will contribute substantially to Copenhagen being the first carbon neutral capital in the world.

The climate crisis calls for immediate climate leadership to create substantial CO2 reductions.
