Today, S&D MEPs co-signed a letter to the president of the Commission von der Leyen calling on her to reject the Hungarian government’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) as the rule of law is still seriously undermined in Hungary. According to the MEPs, the selection and the territorial distribution of the measures included in the Plan could lead to favouritism, nepotism, fraud and corruption.

Today, Mathijs Peters, responsible for EU Corporate Affairs at PepsiCo was elected President of the European Snacks Association asbl (ESA) for a two-year term. He succeeds Dr. Rolf Nilges, Intersnack’s Director of Research & Development and External Affairs.

The S&D Group in the European Parliament today adopted its position paper on the New European Bauhaus initiative, asking for more quality job creation in the building and restoration sector, as well as taking on board the green and digital aspect as new sources for creativity and sustainability.

Open Science presents a novel approach to practice science, in a way that increases openness, integrity, reproducibility of research and faster progress. It aims at making scientific process and results more transparent and accessible at all levels and to everyone. It allows to make science more efficient through better sharing of resources, more reliable through better verification and more responsive to society’s needs.
