Until the extended deadline of August 1st,  2021 the Scientific Committee will be eagerly accepting submissions for the world’s leading international scientific congress in the field of heating, ventilation and airconditioning (HVAC) . The Scientific Committee is calling upon professionals and researchers to submit their abstract for the 14th REHVA HVAC World Congress CLIMA 2022. From scientists to HVAC system designers, manufacturers to building system consultants and students. Everybody is welcome to submit an abstract across the five themes of energy, digitization, health and comfort, circularity, and learning and education.

The CLIMA World Congress takes place every three years and is organised by one of REHVA’s member associations. In 2022, TVVL, the Dutch Society for Building Services and Technology, is pleased to host this prestigious event together with Delft University of Technology en Eindhoven University of Technology in Ahoy Rotterdam, the Netherlands. From May 15th until May 18th, 2022 Ahoy Rotterdam will open its doors to professionals and researchers eagerly looking to discuss the latest insights and find answers to the questions society and our sector are dealing with.

Submission for papers or interactive sessions

The Scientific Committee welcomes contributions across the congress’ five main themes, as well as contributions providing an integrated insight. Abstracts can either be for scientific and technical papers or shape the context for an interactive session in the form of a discussion forum, seminar / webinar or course. By the 5th of September 2021, the Scientific Committee will notify all submitters about abstract acceptance and invite contributors to officially take part in CLIMA 2022. All accepted papers will be compiled into the Digital Conference Proceedings. Agreements are also being made for additional publications in indexed journals.

An exciting mixture of events

In addition to the scientific, technical and interactive sessions, the congress is set to provide an exciting mixture of events. Key note speakers, student activities, technical tours, and REHVA workshops are all part of the programme. What these events all have in common is their ‘EYE ON 2030’. How will the five themes evolve the world of HVAC from now till 2030? Which insights will we have with regards to the themes? And how do these themes relate to each other? Will they reinforce or delay each other? And how does the impact of climate installations relate to the building process and other influences? With these questions in mind, CLIMA 2022 will have its EYE ON 2030.

CLIMA 2022 will take place in a hybrid form of both online and offline events, ensuring an innovative experience for all visitors, submitters, exhibitors, and sponsors. This once-in-a-lifetime event is not to be missed; be sure to take part and share your knowledge by submitting your abstract or just by attending CLIMA 2022 in Rotterdam.

Submit your abstract until the 1st August here. Please visit the official CLIMA 2022 and REHVA websites or contact f.vanegmond@tvvl.nl for more information.
