EU housing draft report unacceptable for S&Ds

S&Ds head to Croatia to stand up for workers’ dignity

In Croatia, the S&D Group will also pay tribute to our late colleague, former MEP Predrag Fred Matić – a true champion of social justice and women’s rights, who passed away a year ago. By naming one of our traineeship programmes after him, his vision of a Europe built on equality, justice, and human dignity will live on.

S&Ds drive European Parliament to take a united and firm stance for trainees

Under the leadership of the Socialists and Democrats, the European Parliament’s employment committee today agreed on a good and fair deal for European trainees. This agreement would put an end to the ‘wild west’ of traineeships and stop the exploitation of young Europeans as cheap or free labour.
