We need to liberate the human potential that we have in our institutions and organizations, by overcoming a culture adverse to innovation and entrepreneurship, counterproductive regulations, ineffective organizations and inadequate management practices.

European social partners of the postal sector committed to promoting environmental awareness

Brussels, 4 April 2013: Today, the social partners of the European Social Dialogue Committee (SDC) for the postal sector signed the "CSR Joint Conclusions on Environment" in the presence of high-level representatives from the European Commission (DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion) and members of the SDC, PostEurop and UNI, to acknowledge the postal sector's social role and commitment to address the environmental issues impacting the industry.

Michael Gahler to lead EU Election Observation Mission to Pakistan

Michael Gahler MEP has been appointed as Head of the Election Observation Mission of the European Union for the elections in Pakistan on 11 May 2013 by the Vice-President of the European Commission and High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. Gahler previously headed the EU mission for the parliamentary elections in 2008.
