ACRE Welcomes Three New Parties

The Alliance of Conservatives and Reformists was pleased to welcome three new political parties. The Dutch Forum for Democracy, the Swedish Democrats and the Spanish Vox, all signed the Rekjyakiv Declaration and became full members of the Alliance. 
 
The three new member parties joined at the Council Meeting held in Burssels on the 27th of June. It marks the first time that the Alliance has welcomed parties from the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden.

Over the weekend of the 5th to 8th of September, delegates from the member parties of the European Conservatives and Reformists Party gathered on the island of Madeira off the southern coast of Portugal. Delegates were treated to world class training from professional campaigners brought in from across the world. Panels ranged from discussions about old media and its continued role to social media – and the impact that it can have on successful campaigning. There were also talks about how to run street campaigns, and how to effectively raise money.

EIB energy lending policy ushers in new era for gas

Brussels, 14 November 2019. The European Investment Bank (EIB) agreed to increase the climate ambition of its energy lending policy. This is a major step towards achieving the carbon neutrality targets of 2050 as supported by Eurogas.

60% of SMEs globally not supported to tackle bribery and corruption

A survey of nearly 1,000 experts has revealed 60% believe there is insufficient guidance for SMEs to combat bribery and corruption.
 
The research, commissioned by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), has highlighted that of 932 cross-sector accountants surveyed, fewer than one in three believe there is enough support for small businesses to tackle bribery and corruption.
