Shenzhen Coship Electronics & Compal Broadband Networks greenlighted
(Brussels  24 July, 2012) The Cable Europe Labs Certification Board has announced that products from Compal Broadband Networks and Shenzhen Coship Electronics have been certified following the release of testing results from Certification Wave 47.

Products that successfully passed testing include:
 Compal Broadband Networks CH6685E: EMTA passed for EuroDOCSIS 3.0 &
EuroPacketCable 1.5

The EMS Forum, bringing together industry stakeholders promoting the use of European Modular Concept (EMS) vehicle combinations in the EU, is surprised that the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz has written to European Commission President José Manuel Barroso asking the European Commission to revoke its interpretation of Directive 96/53 on weights and dimensions of commercial vehicles.

The publication today of the latest monitoring report by the European Commission on the state of judicial reform and fight against corruption in Romania and Bulgaria highlights ongoing concerns in both. The report on Romania comes at a time of heightened political tension in the country following a recent change in government and a number of controversial measures.

Greece is still far from stabilization, Italy and Spain struggle against problems on their bonds market owing to the increase of profitability, and Cyprus, which heads the presidency of the Council of the European Union, turns for loans to Russia. How do other countries react to this? Germany disagrees with France over the way the European Union works, Italy has its own ideas for EU reforms.  Spain is waiting for financial assistance for its indebted banks.

IEE project will develop Cogeneration Roadmaps to stimulate the take-up of cogeneration in Europe

Providing national policy-makers with a practical tool to realise their country’s identified cogeneration potential is the central aim of a new European project launched on 1st July 2012. Over the next 30 months the CODE2 project will develop 27 National Cogeneration Roadmaps that will help to further improve the policy framework, market conditions and awareness around cogeneration in each EU Member State.
