MEDPOL: SGI Europe calls for reinforcing services of general interest to ensure the EU strategic autonomy and upward convergence

On Monday 8 November 2021, Valeria Ronzitti, SGI Europe General Secretary, addressed the Macro-Economic Dialogue at Political Level (MEDPOL) by videoconference.
Bringing together, amongst others, Valdis Dombrovskis, European Commission Executive Vice-President for An Economy that Works for People, Christine Lagarde, ECB President, Paschal Donohoe, Eurogroup President and social partners, the meeting focused on exchanging views on the current economic conditions and outlook and the digital transformation in light of the recovery.

More support for electrolyser projects needed if the EU wants to build a competitive clean energy industry

Hydrogen Europe and the Renewable Hydrogen Coalition call on the European Institutions to support electrolyser projects with at least 50 MW capacity provided by a single electrolyser or by a set of electrolysers that form a single, coordinated project under the revised Trans-European Networks for Energy (TEN-E) regulation.

European Social Innovation Competition: The 10 finalists are announced!

The European Commission, the European Innovation Council and SME Executive Agency (EISMEA) are today announcing the 10 finalists in this year’s European Social Innovation Competition Skills for Tomorrow – Shaping a green and digital future. From 1 to 3 February, the 23rd edition of the European Energy Transition Conference will be held in the Grand Genève cross-border region. Close to 3,500 participants (communities, ecological transition scientists and experts, economic players and associations) will meet at Palexpo (International Exhibition and Congress Centre in Geneva) to discuss and share their experiences in the local energy transition and in adapting to climate change.
