GUE/NGL voices its opposition to the return directive and EU hypocrisy on immigration

"We will be participating in today's demonstration in Brussels against the return directive and supporting those NGOs who have designated it the 'outrageous directive,'" said Francis Wurtz, President of the European United Left/Nordic Green Left (GUE/NGL) group in the European Parliament, and Giusto Catania, Vice-President of the EP Justice and Home Affairs Committee, speaking during a press conference to launch the latest GUE/NGL publication "Towards a Europe of mixed identities: our proposals to counter EU hypocrisies on migration"* in the European Parliament today.

New Ethanol REACH Association Launched

In response to the legal obligation to register ethanol under the EU’s REACH regulation, leading ethanol manufacturers in Europe have come together to set up the Ethanol REACH Association to enable joint submissions of high-quality dossiers. A joint submission of a ‘fit for purpose’ dossier is required wherever possible under REACH. It is also highly desirable to produce a dossier that is of sufficient quality that it would pass the scrutiny of the competent authorities should the dossier be subject to evaluation.
