Universal’s Andrew Jenkins elected chair of International Confederation of Music Publishers (ICMP)

Brussels, 1 February 2012 -  Andrew Jenkins Executive Vice President, International for Universal Music Publishing Group  has been elected as chair of ICMP, the world trade association representing the interests of the music publishing community internationally.   His unanimous appointment follows elections to the board held during the ICMP Annual General Assembly in Cannes on 29 January and he will serve a two-year term starting with immediate effect.

Commenting on his appointment, Ger Hatton, ICMP secretary general said:

We are delighted to welcome Andrew as chair of our board of directors.  His appointment will provide strong visibility and leadership for the 53 countries and territories around the world where ICMP has a presence through its membership and the some10,000 music publishers, manly SME’s, that we represent globally.  Andrew will bring both stature and energy to the role and we look forward to the expansion of ICMP under his chairmanship.”
