Brussels, 7 November: Next week, over 2,500 members of the international aid and development community will come together in Brussels, Belgium, for the sixth annual  AidEx conference and exhibition. The two-day event allows aid and development professional of all stripes, from both the public and private sectors, to come together in a neutral setting, drive innovation and support the ever-growing need for emergency aid and development programmes.

What’s On
 
On the exhibition floor, 200 suppliers from around the world  will demonstrate the latest innovations in focus areas such as Medical, Food & Water, Shelter, Logistics & Communications, and Finance for NGOs. Learn more about the work of some of our exhibitors on the AidEx Blog. This year’s AidEx Conference is focused around the theme of Localisation. High-level experts will discuss how humanitarian aid can “go local”, putting affected populations at the centre of decisionmaking processes, as well as considering how the private and public sectors can work together to support localisation efforts.   • Humanitarian Hero of the Year Award
  • Humanitarian and Development Journalism Awards
 
Voting is open to the public for the Humanitarian Hero of the Year Award and Humanitarian and Development Journalism Awards, while the winner of the Aid Innovation Challenge will be decided by pitch process at AidEx on 16 November.
