Kathi Apostolidis appointed as President of European Cancer Patient Coalition

The European Cancer Patient Coalition is pleased to announce that Kathi Apostolidis was appointed President and Treasurer, effective 22nd March 2022.

Kathi Apostolidis is ECPC’s elected President from June 2019 to December 2020, and an ECPC Board Member from January 2021 to March 2022, while she has served as ECPC’s Vice President from June 2013 to June 2019. Kathi is an active volunteer breast cancer patient advocate and one of the ECPC members with the longest history back to 2005. She is also a very active cancer patient advocate on the national level and President of the Hellenic Cancer Federation – ELLOK, the Greek national cancer patients umbrella organization.

Matti Jarvinen, ECPC Board Member, has been appointed, Secretary, also effective March 22, 2022. Matti joined the ECPC Board in September 2021 as per the results of the 2019 elections. He is a Board Member of the Association of Cancer Patients in Finland.

ECPC also welcomes Maria Begoña Barragán García, President of GEPAC (Grupo Español de Pacientes con Cáncer), who has kindly accepted to be the new ECPC Board Member, according to the results of the 2019 elections. ECPC thanks Maria Begoña for her support and involvement in ECPC activities and wish her success.

Ken Mastris, former ECPC President, from January 2021 until 15th March 2022, sent his resignation to the Board, which was accepted.
