The EU Tobacco Directive is scheduled to be voted on 8 October after months of controversy and following its postponement last month. The proposals have been subject to massive industry lobbying. This briefing - for members of the press only - aims to look ahead to the vote, assess the intense industry lobby and look at some of the amendments tabled to weaken the report voted by the public health committee.
