Over the weekend of the 5th to 8th of September, delegates from the member parties of the European Conservatives and Reformists Party gathered on the island of Madeira off the southern coast of Portugal. Delegates were treated to world class training from professional campaigners brought in from across the world. Panels ranged from discussions about old media and its continued role to social media – and the impact that it can have on successful campaigning. There were also talks about how to run street campaigns, and how to effectively raise money. On top of all this, delegates were given a chance to take part in a proactive TV interview, in which a journalist gave them pointers on how to improve their style and presentation.
