Few if any in Slovakia are as experienced and devoted to the European cause as he is. Very professional and full of energy, he did an excellent job in all his post ranging from the Permanent Representative of Slovakia, to the vice-president of the European Commission. As Commissioner, he was always devoted to bridging any reaming gaps between older and newer member states. We welcome his engagement in promoting and putting forward the Energy Union, which remains vital for European integration.”
