Today, the EU Council reached a significant milestone by approving the Nature Restoration Law, a critical component of the Green Deal, championed by the S&D Group in the European Parliament.

Hydrogen Europe and the Canadian Hydrogen Association ink agreement to strengthen transatlantic clean hydrogen industry cooperation

Hydrogen Europe and the Canadian Hydrogen Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate hydrogen deployment and facilitate trade in clean molecules. The agreement was signed during the EU-Canada Stakeholder Roundtable on Regulatory Cooperation in Hydrogen with representatives from the European Commission, the Government of Canada and industry stakeholders from both sides of the Atlantic in attendance.

We must address LGBT inclusivitiy in football in light of the European Championship

With the start of the European Championship, the issue of LGBT inclusivity in football, in particular men’s football, remains underaddressed. Despite the FA's 2016 guidance aimed at reducing transphobia, the gender binary remains ingrained in professional sports. Recent decisions by FIFA, including hosting tournaments in Russia and Qatar—countries known for anti-LGBTQIA+ stances—further underscore the contradictions within the sport's global governance.

Leading with Resilience: addressing the impact of war in Ukraine on women’s mental health

Kyiv, Ukraine, 8 June – Generation Ukraine, Kyiv-based organization of creative and businesswomen of Ukraine, hosted its second inaugural event to help Ukraine women address the stress of war in a discussion with a therapist. Titled “Leading with Resilience”, the gathering offered a platform to discuss the effects of the war on professional life and how to deal with these challenges. The conversation was led by Ana Lissova, psychologist and co-founder of Pleso, an online therapy platform.

Commission announces €1.2 billion for second Hydrogen Bank auction budget

Today, at a stakeholder workshop on the European Hydrogen Bank organised by the European Commission’s DG CLIMA, it was announced that the budget for the second auction later this year would amount to €1.2 billion. This represents 25% of the Innovation Fund’s 2024 budget, with the remainder going to batteries (€1bn) and conventional grants (€2.6bn) which also support innovative hydrogen projects.
