Brussels, 25 March 2024 - EuropaBio is very happy to announce that Standing Ovation has joined as a member.

As a French company founded in Paris in 2020, Standing Ovation uses precision fermentation to produce caseins that can be used to create lactose free cheese and dairy products without requiring intensive animal breeding.

Standing Ovation aims to facilitate the food transition by boosting EU food security through a complementary source of casein protein, and paving the way for a new era of dairy products with a lower environmental impact.

Today, EcoVadis, WindEurope and five leading wind energy industry organisations - ENGIE, Hitachi Energy, Siemens Gamesa, Statkraft and Vestas – announce the launch of the ‘Wind Energy Initiative’. The Initiative aims to accelerate the uptake of sustainable practices by fostering strong collaboration between trading partners and amplifying positive impacts across their value chains.

European politicians, citizens and businesses want reliable, affordable and clean energy. Wind energy is a local, competitive, and scalable resource that can provide that energy.

The Socialists and Democrats deplore a harmful deal on the Retail Investment Strategy brokered by conservative and liberal forces in the European Parliament in collaboration with the far right. Yesterday, the European Parliament’s committee on economic affairs voted in favour of the compromise proposed by the liberal rapporteur Stéphanie Yon-Courtin, which will seriously harm small investors and undermine the capital markets union.

The Initiative recognises that  biotechnology is one of the major global technologies shaping our health, food, and industrial  footprint with sustainability and resilience, whilst also significantly outperforming EU averages for  economic and employment growth.
