S&D: EU Cohesion policy 2021-2027 should be implemented as soon as possible; no money should be lost!

The Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament voted in favour of a resolution, deploring the inertia in the implementation of the 2021-2027 Cohesion policy. The S&D Group supports crucial EU instruments like the Recovery and Resilience Facility and the React-EU which address the new challenges the EU faces, while it gives its continued support to the robust funds of the Cohesion policy.

End built-in obsolescence and empower citizens to repair their products, say S&Ds

The Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament called for an effective right to repair for consumers in a plenary debate in Strasbourg today. They welcomed the European Commission’s intention to propose EU legislation on this matter. The S&D Group fully supports this idea – a real step forward that will save people money and will help the environment.

To deliver this expansion in onshore wind the Government proposal increases annual auction volumes to up to 12 GW.

While supporting Putin for years, they have been trying to weaken our democracies and divide and destabilise our Europe.

TAXO4 REPORT: CRITERIA FOR CONSTRUCTION NEED MAJOR OVERHAUL, INDUSTRY ADVICE LARGELY IGNORED

“The Taxonomy is a game changer for sustainable construction. Our aim has been to contribute to developing a set of practical and ambitious criteria which foster circularity in construction. The criteria published today don’t meet the needs of the market and the industry. They need a major overhaul”, says Pekka Vuorinen, FIEC’s Representative in the Platform on Sustainable Finance, commenting on the release of the Platform’s report on technical screening criteria for the remaining environmental objectives.
