The annual Council of the PES adopted three major resolutions:
- on the process for selecting a common candidate for the 2019 European elections, including a commitment to an open and transparent process possibly including primaries if there is more than one candidate;
- on the future of Europe and the PES political platform;
- on political prisoners in Turkey.
