COP26 may have focused on big business, but 90% are small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), which is why ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and CA ANZ (Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand) are equipping accountants with a new playbook to help them and their SME clients achieve their sustainability goals.

The S&D Group is backing a strong message from the European Parliament that says: “we need migration” in the EU, especially in responding to big labour market shortages in the future.

S&D MEPs believe reducing barriers to legal migration is the most effective way to close the skills shortages gap across EU labour markets, while are the same time ending the exploitation of migrant workers and reducing the number of irregular migrants to the EU.

Three years after the proposal put forward by the Commission and many rounds of negotiations among the EU Council and EU Commission, the European Parliament has eventually approved the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). The reform consists of three files: the CAP Strategic Plans, the Horizontal Regulation (Finance, Management and Monitoring) and the Common Market Organisation Amending Regulation.
