S&Ds: Netanyahu is showing his worse face, a bully who utterly disregards international law

The S&D Group expressed all its contrariety and concern over the recent statements given by Mr. Netanyahu regarding his will to annex West Bank settlements and to evacuate the Bedouin village of Khan al-Ahmar.
S&D Group vice-president Elena Valenciano said:
“On the eve of Israeli elections, by openly announcing the will to annex West Bank settlements and to evacuate the Bedouin village of Khan al-Ahmar, Mr. Netanyahu is showing his worse face: a bully who continues to show utter disregard for international law. He clearly doesn’t care about the peace process, the two States solution or the warning by the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court who would consider the tearing down of Khan al-Ahmar as a war crime. It seems he thinks that his political survival and personal interests can legitimise any move.
“Israel is facing a prime minister candidate who clearly puts his interests first before the interests of his country. We remain on the side of international law and the hope for peace.
“We hope that Israel’s next leader will be on the same side.”
