12 November, (Cologne). The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) announced the winner of the first-ever Safety Recognition Award during its annual Safety Summit.
The Business Aviation Safety Recognition Award was created earlier this year by EBAA to acknowledge and reward the exceptional work by members who go well beyond already rigorous safety compliance requirements.
As the voice of business aviation in Europe, we want to recognise inspirational success stories resulting from going the extra mile in terms of safety culture and precaution. SEA Prime did just that, by implementing special procedures compliant with the highest safety standards to manage additional traffic during the closure of Milan’s Linate Airport, one of the Europe’s busiest airports, particularly during summer months.
Earlier this year, Italy’s Milan Linate Airport (LIN) closed for about three months as part of a project to refurbish the runway and commercial terminal. During the closure, Linate’s flights were transferred to Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP), which had been preparing for the influx for months. SEA Prime SpA designed special procedures for business aircraft to follow at Malpensa to handle the additional flights.
We thank EBAA for this award recognizing the constant commitment of SEA Prime and the SEA Group in offering excellent services while always putting safety first, within the framework of the best operational standards.
Thanks to the procedures designed and implemented in the extraordinary period of the 3-month closure of the Linate airport, we were able to manage over 5,100 Aviation business aviation movements, with an increase of ca 265% compared to the previous year”.
