The annual Council of the PES adopted three major resolutions:

• on the process for selecting a common candidate for the 2019 European elections, including a commitment to an open and transparent process possibly including primaries if there is more than one candidate;
• on the future of Europe and the PES political platform;
  • 40 key measures adopted by the council
• on political prisoners in Turkey.
