Following a certification audit in October 2011 Camfil Farr Malaysia received the ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems certification on December 5, 2011.

We expect that a systematic approach to energy will lead to savings and help us to become a greener company. Past certification projects, including ISO 9001 Quality management System, OSHAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, have lead to many

improvements with regards to health, safety and environment. The new energy management system will drive improvements in a similar manner.

In addition to the operational benefits, the certification also adds credibility to our sales force.

Life Cycle Cost is a key Camfil Farr sales argument and is to a large extent helping customers with energy management with regards to filtration. Our challenge is to educate customers and consultants about the substantial energy saving opportunities that can be made by replacing existing filters with low energy air filters.

Being independently certified to ISO 50001 by AFNOR, is an assurance to Camfil Farr customers that we 'walk the talk’.

Camfil Farr Malaysia’s Quality Assurance & Sustainability Manager Ms Jaya Pichaimanickan and Energy Management Representative Mr. Sudarsan Chandra as well as members of various committees have done a great job preparing for the certification. The auditor was satisfied with the implementation of the standard and the 6 man-day audit passed without any non-compliance.

Camfil Farr is now the first ISO 50001 certified company in Malaysia.
