"It is not just a coincidence that 16 out of 27 Member State governments are from the EPP family. It's also no coincidence that the Presidents of the three main European Institutions are from the EPP family: this reflects the choice of the voters", said Joseph Daul MEP.

"The Socialists in the European Parliament think that 'the European ship is sinking'. Not only do the facts prove them wrong but we are still waiting on their proposals and those of the Left in general to remedy the situation."

Joseph Daul continued: "The reality is that the centre-right majority in Europe is winning the bet on getting Europe out of the crisis."

"The reality is that the centre-right is able to do so because it applies responsible policy aimed at making Europe both more competitive and more cohesive in the face of globalisation."

"The Socialists criticise, condemn and attack. But just what are they proposing to our citizens? I, along with the majority of Europeans, wait and wonder", concluded the Chairman of the EPP Group.
