Global Youth Summit in Munich

Brussels, 24 November 2020. For the third year in a row, the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) is sending ten carefully selected inspired young leaders to represent the industry at the 2021 One Young World Summit in Munich.

The annual summit taking place from 23-26 April will host talented youth from a range of companies, NGOs, and other public and private institutions. The delegates will meet and be advised by several global leaders, such as past Counsellors Justin Trudeau, Paul Polman, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. The delegates will also partake in four high impact days’ worth of lectures, workshops, and presentations, all held at world renowned venues such as Olympiapark, Olympiahalle, and BMW Welt.

“In a time when societal and environmental responsibility and ingenuity is needed more than ever, our young representatives will have the opportunity to gain insight from world renowned Counsellors and their fellow delegates on how to combat real-world challenges and implement change within their companies and the Business aviation industry at large,” explains Athar Husain Khan, EBAA Secretary-General. “That is both exciting and inspiring, and it’s exactly the reason why we continue to support this initiative.”

The European Business aviation delegates for the 2021 One Young World Summit are:

When asked how Business aviation contributes socially today, 2021 Delegate Chaitanya Kaushik, of Web Manuals Sweden Ab, replies, “Business aviation has always been a lifeline for society, and it has proved it again by providing transport and services during the Covid-19 pandemic. Whether it is for flying patients, running repatriation flights to escort people home, or transporting medical equipment, the professionals from this industry are always standing beside us.”

2021 delegate to One Young World, Textron Aviation representative Henrielle A. Millon is greatly looking forward to next year’s event: “As a future leader in the Business aviation industry, it is my responsibility to learn from others by listening to their experiences and advice so that I forge my own opinions to become capable of making a change.”

The new class of delegates was selected by EBAA, in partnership with the German Business Aviation Association (GBAA) and EBAA France, based on their views of how Business aviation can further contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
