EuroACE, the European Alliance of Companies for Energy Efficiency in Buildings, which is the European association representing companies whose products and services make our buildings more energy efficient is delighted to announce the
appointment of Adrian Joyce as its new Secretary General.

Mr Joyce will join EuroACE from the Architects Council of Europe (ACE) where he
most recently served as Director with full responsibility for running the ACE
Secretariat in Brussels. In his new role with EuroACE he will represent EuroACE
and its members towards the European Institutions and spearhead its advocacy
efforts to promote policies which lead to greater energy efficiency in buildings.
Mr Joyce will also coordinate the recently launched Renovate European
Campaign which aims to encourage the adoption of policies which will triple the
renovation rate of buildings across Europe.

Rick Wilberforce, EuroACE President, said: “We are thrilled that Adrian will be
joining EuroACE to lead its work going forward. Adrian is a well respected voice
on energy efficiency in the built environment and with his experience and
networks we look forward to playing a full part in European policy-making”.

Mr Joyce said: “Given that energy efficiency of buildings is a key EU priority on
which extensive work is needed now and for the foreseeable future, it is with
excitement and satisfaction that I look forward to taking up the challenge of
being Secretary General at EuroACE. It is an alliance that by its varied
membership recognises that energy efficiency requires integrated approaches
and the role I am about to take up will also allow me to fulfill a personal
ambition to work exclusively in the field of the energy efficiency of buildings”.

Mr Joyce will join EuroACE in August 2011.
