EURACTIV.com welcomes its new team in Athens!
Date
The EURACTIV Media Network is pleased to announce that a new team has taken over its Greek language edition.
Following a successful collaboration with our former partners in Athens, EURACTIV now aims to increase its presence in the country where Europe’s 'democracy was born'.
“EURACTIV’s network expansion has been a strategic choice of our company. The more voice we give to Europe’s capitals, the more transparent the Brussels-based EU decision-making processes will become,” commented EURACTIV.com CEO David Mekkaoui.
“In accordance with EURACTIV’s core values, EURACTIV.gr aims to provide Greek readers with free, independent and transparent news. At a time of rising populism and anti-EU rhetoric, the role of journalism is more important than ever before. Greeks need to be informed about developments from London to Sofia and from Lisbon to Vilnius. Only by connecting the dots will Greeks be able to understand Europe,” said Christos Trikoukis, CEO of EURACTIV.gr.
EURACTIV.gr will have as a media partner the media group Opinion Post, which according to the Reuters Institute, tops the ranking of reliable news in Greece.
