EurActiv, the independent online media specialised in EU policies, is teaming with Gallup to survey its readers on their media preferences and consumption habits.

The survey addresses readers in 12 European languages across the EurActiv Network. This is the fifth time EurActiv has conducted this survey, and the first time with Gallup.

"We are delighted to cooperate with Gallup, who is known around the world for independent, timely research," said Rick Zedník, EurActiv's CEO.

"We are proud to support EurActiv in its dialogue with their readership" said Robert Manchin, Chairman and Managing Director of Gallup Europe.

A second enhancement from previous surveys is a series of questions that give readers a chance for input into EurActiv's expansion strategy.

"I am eager to see in which direction our readers would like to see us go in expanding the EurActiv Network,” said Christophe Leclercq, EurActiv's Founder and Publisher. “We are asking them whether there is greater demand for deepening our coverage within the EU or broadening it to prospective member states or even to world political capitals. We will listen carefully to their input."

A short summary of the survey's findings will be published on More extensive findings will be sent to respondents who request them.
