The EURACTIV media network is excited to welcome its new partner located in Croatia, Hanza Media. From now on, Croatian readers will be able to follow the latest news about policies and politics in Europe on euractiv.hr. With the addition of this new website, the EURACTIV network now offers content in 13 languages.
Our Croatian partner, Hanza media, will be an important voice from Central and Eastern Europe in the upcoming period. Hanza Media is the largest media company in Croatia, with 37 print and 19 digital publications. Its experienced editorial team will contribute well-researched analyses and news articles ahead of the EU elections, and later on, the Croatian presidency of the Council in 2020.
The new website, https://www.euractiv.hr, is online as of this week. To celebrate the launch, Hanza Media will hold an evening reception in Zagreb on the 5th September. On this occasion, the Editor-in-chief of EURACTIV Croatia, Ivan Fischer, will present the new website.
“The Croatian public has long been in the dark regarding many European issues, which is why we're happy to introduce the newest member of the EURACTIV family,” Mr Fischer emphasised. “Euractiv Croatia will provide citizens, entrepreneurs and all relevant stakeholders with timely, accurate and relevant information on everything happening in EU that might have an impact on Croatia, and everything in Croatia that might affect other member states".
David Mekkaoui, the CEO of EURACTIV, echoed his message: “We’re very happy to welcome our new partner, Hanza media, into the EURACTIV network. As the media network for Europe, we strive to be as close as possible to our readers, and that means speaking their language and offering local perspectives on European issues”.
