Today, EURACTIV launches a new German-language newsletter Europa Kompakt, which will bring daily news and policy to EURACTIV’s growing audience of German speakers.

“With a new German government in place and with it a renewed commitment to Europe, we are proud to renew our commitment as EURACTIV to making sure news and policy coming from Brussels is transparently available to the German-speaking public” said Oliver Noyan, Senior Editor at the Berlin office of EURACTIV.

Along with bringing news and policy from the European Union to a German-speaking audience, Europa Kompakt will continue the mission of EURACTIV’s previous newsletter, The Capitals, in bridging the gaps between European countries as well. 

“With media still overwhelmingly national, EURACTIV’s mission to connect the public sphere across national borders is an important one. I am excited to work with Oliver so we can develop this further in Europe’s most spoken first language” added Sarantis Michalopoulos, EURACTIV’s Network Editor.

Europa Kompakt will focus on EURACTIV.de’s different hubs, giving a short summary of the most relevant developments in those specific fields. Additionally, Europa Kompakt will provide a round-up of news from Europe and an agenda featuring upcoming events, mostly in Germany and Berlin.
