"The EPP Group wants the law firm Mossack Fonseca and the Panama government to testify in the European Parliament's special committee on unfair tax practices", announced Burkhard Balz MEP today, the EPP Group's Spokesman in the committee which was set up after the so-called LuxLeaks revelations.

"This is organised, large-scale parasitism. It is intolerable that both law firms and entire countries use living at the expense of other states as a business model. We want Mossack Fonseca and the Panama government to answer our questions in Parliament", Balz continued.

Balz wants to agree on further parliamentary consequences on the 18th of April. "Since there will be more revelations to be published over the coming weeks, we first need to gather all the information. We will agree on the next steps with all the political groups on the 18th of April", he concluded.
