(Brussels, 30 December 2019, PR0198-19) The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG), in cooperation with Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE), have published the eight edition of the System Development map, which illustrates existing and planned gas infrastructure and gas capacities.

This map is updated on a yearly basis and is a widely used reference for European and non-European stakeholders alike. It provides useful, accurate and up-to-date information about the recent gas demand in European countries and the capacities in the European gas infrastructure. Historical demand and supply data are also presented.

Jan Ingwersen, ENTSOG General Director, said, “The System Development Map, published together with GIE, provides a convenient visualisation of supply and demand trends together with cross border capacities. This allows for efficient analysis by market stakeholders and it is a useful supplement to the ENTSOG Seasonal Supply Reports.”

Boyana Achovski, GIE Secretary General, said: “The System Development Map, as a powerful transparency tool, offers useful information on European Gas Market to all interested parties, and we believe that this Map will continue to be a reference and an important tool for the industry and the stakeholders to properly assess the current and future European Energy challenges.”

ENTSOG and GIE are committed to further enhancing the information provided on the map for future editions and welcome feedback from stakeholders.

The map is available for download at the ENTSOG website, here and GIE website, here.

All maps published by ENTSOG can be ordered at http://maps.entsog.eu. The map can also be ordered through GIE here.
