Returning on 29-30 June as the European Ideas Forum, the Martens Centre flagship event takes on a broader scope to address some of the most pressing EU challenges. EIF 2021, held under the umbrella topic "A Roaring Twenties for Europe? Crises and Opportunities in the Post-Pandemic Age", will be broadcast live from Brussels, featuring a mixture of in-person and online speakers. The Forum has been awarded the European Excellence Award in the category « Best political workshop or congress » in 2017. Previous Forums have been successfully held in Brussels, Bratislava, Helsinki, Dublin, London, Madrid, Paris, and Nicosia.
Our annual high-level conference mobilises European Commission officials, members of the European Parliament, economic experts, business leaders and other influential stakeholders from all over Europe and beyond.
What you can expect at next week’s EIF:
- Our President Mikuláš Dzurinda opening this year’s Forum
- Four expert panel discussions over two days, featuring EU Commissioner Mairead McGuinness and many other high-level speakers
- Two exclusive interviews with EPP President Donald Tusk and Eurogroup President Paschal Donohoe
- A keynote speech delivered by EPP Group Chairman Manfred Weber
- Closing remarks by our Secretary-Treasurer & EPP Secretary-General Antonio López-Istúriz White
- A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in live debate and contribute your personal knowledge and opinions
Be it the challenges of a sustainable economic recovery, the digital transition, the great power competition, or the EU’s path towards greater autonomy, the EIF is the go-to conference for all those interested in content-rich debates on the most salient economic and political issues of the coming decade.
