Brussels, 18th February 2022. Antonella Cardone is stepping down from her role as the Director of the European Cancer Patient Coalition (ECPC). During her 3-year period at ECPC, Cardone has worked intensively for the benefit of ECPC members and European cancer patients. ECPC has grown to be larger than ever before.

The COVID-19 pandemic posed a series of challenges and put at risk the life of cancer patients worldwide. However, ECPC succeeded to maintain an important role in keeping cancer high on the EU’s policy agenda.

“Antonella’s focus has always been to impact the European health agenda. Through collaborative work, I believe that we have been able to achieve this”, says Ken Mastris, ECPC President. “We appreciate her professional attitude and commitment in developing ECPC”, he states.

Antonella Cardone will be leaving the organisation on the 21st of February.
