The National Standards Body of Morocco has become the newest CEN Affiliate.
Brussels (17 August 2009) – As of 1 July 2009 Service de Normalisation Industrielle Marocaine (SNIMA) has become the newest CEN Affiliate. This brings the total number of CEN Affiliates to seventeen. A complete list can be found here: www.cen.eu/go/affiliates.
Affiliate status is open to a National Standards Body, which is a member (or corresponding member) of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and is the standardization body from an EU neighbouring country having links with the EU or EFTA. They may participate in the General Assembly and in technical bodies. They receive all technical and general documentation from CEN.
