Building on the success of the Faces of Brewing photo competition over the last two years, the third edition of the competition is now open for submissions. This year’s competition ‘Faces of Brewing 2013: Out for a beer’ aims to highlight the role that brewing, beer and pubs play in the local community. Following the launch in May, The Brewers of Europe’s Faces team has already received dozens of pictures from all over Europe, featuring the people who bring pubs, bars, cafés, beer halls, beer gardens or festivals alive, whether serving the beer or enjoying it, whether in their local community or where they went on their travels.

Photos can be submitted directly through the www.facesofbrewing.eu website until 30 September at midnight.

Mr. Adam Berry, renowned photographer, photo editor at the German news agency DAPD and a member of the Faces of Brewing jury said:

“I am delighted to be part of the panel again for this year’s Faces of Brewing photo competition. In the last two years we received over 875 great photos from across Europe showing master brewers, farmers, bartenders and even a scarecrow! I can’t wait to see what participants will come up with this year. Happy shooting!”

Faces of Brewing wants to highlight the contribution of brewing and beer to local communities and provide talented photographers with the opportunity to tell their stories.

The best three pictures, selected by a panel of experts, will receive prizes worth €1750. Smaller prizes will be awarded to the most voted photograph and the most active user on Faces of Brewing social media channels.

Images will be published and used across Europe, giving winning photographers great visibility and providing a fantastic way to enhance their portfolios. The winner of the first prize will be invited to a prestigious gala ceremony in Brussels in December 2013 to receive the award.
