ANEC, the European Consumer Voice in Standardisation, welcomes the EU decision to ban bisphenol A from baby bottles

Stephen Russell, ANEC Secretary-General, reacted: "ANEC congratulates the European Commission on its decision to ban this hazardous chemical from baby bottles. We will monitor the implementation of the ban and urge the Commission to resource joint market surveillance actions among Member States to strengthen enforcement in order to help ensure that no baby bottles containing bisphenol A remain on the European market after 1 June 2011”.
