Acumen public affairs has been awarded the highest certification for quality internships by InternsGoPro, and will be featured as this month’s Employer of the month.

InternsGoPro has developed a label that enables employers to showcase their corporate social responsibility and demonstrate their commitment to offering high quality internships. Marked against six criteria - including remuneration, supervision, guidance, and career development - and twenty-three commitments, employers can obtain an “advanced”, “excellent” or “champion” label.

The “Champion” label recognises Acumen fulfils the compliance criteria for its internships designed for graduates and students looking for experience. A testament to the company’s standard of internship is that in five years, the team has added a number of valuable members of the team who started as interns.

“We are happy to hold the Champion Label for Quality Internships and to be the InternsGoPro Employer of the Month. We have been very lucky to have a number of fantastic young interns join our team, some coming for just a few months and others joining us for an entry-level position, and often taking a permanent position with us”, said Elaine Cruikshanks, founding partner at acumen public affairs.

On top of certifying employers, InternsGoPro offers the possibility for interns to rate their internship anonymously on their website. Acumen caught the attention of InternsGoPro due to the consultancy receiving some of the best ratings from respondents. Acumen scored highest on satisfaction with the learning content, the working environment and the extent to which the internship improved the respondents’ chances of getting a job.

Acumen is a proud supporter of the InternsGoPro certification programme, as it answers both the employers' needs to attract new talents and the interns' needs for quality internships.
