Huawei International Advisory Council Brainstorms Strategy to Strengthen Commitment to Europe

Lisbon, Portugal, 22 March, 2012: Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, held the 3rd Huawei International Advisory Council (IAC) meeting in Lisbon, Portugal from March 2-4. Attendees, which included members of the IAC, local board of directors and advisors from Huawei’s overseas subsidiaries and the company’s senior management team, explored the opportunities and challenges facing Huawei in the fast-changing ICT industry, and discussed Huawei’s global development roadmap.

Save water with wind power

The power sector is the one of the world's biggest consumers of water, but one source - wind power - uses very little water to produce electricity.  All fossil fuels and nuclear need significant quantities of water to pump crude oil out of the ground, remove pollutants from power plant exhausts, flush residues after fossil fuels are burned and cool power plants.
