AEGEE welcomes the initiative of the European Commission inviting the Member States, the European Parliament, the European Council, the European Economic and Social Committee, and the Committee of the Regions, to reform the structure of the Educational Systems in Europe.

Today, at a joint press conference by Antonio TAJANI, Vice-President of the EC in charge of Industry and Entrepreneurship and Tonio BORG, Member of the EC in charge of Health and Consumer Policy announced details about the much awaited ‘Product safety and Market Surveillance Package'.  Adrian Harris, Director General of Orgalime announced "At last the opportunity to level the playing field for legitimate market operators has been realised.  The package provides a solid footing on which to build a market surveillance system that not only protects the consumers from a health and safety aspect

AEGEE-Europe sadly acknowledges the poor outcome of the summit of the Council of the European Union on 7th and 8th of February, where the European Union’s heads of states agreed upon the European Union’s Multiannual Financial Framework 2014-2020. An agreement was reached which satisfies rather those EU members’ states which prefer to keep the European Union’s means of action limited.
