S3FOOD awards its first million for digital innovation in food

The EU S3FOOD programme has awarded grants totalling more than EUR 1 million to projects that will enable the digital transition of small and medium-sized food producers. The 19 successful projects in seven European countries have been selected from more than 100 applications for the first round of S3FOOD funding

In recent years, prices of cancer medicines have become subject to an increasing concern among health policy-makers and payers in Europe and beyond. The growing health needs of aging populations combined with growing prices of medicines and an increase in the societal cost of providing care cause budgetary and affordability constraints for most health systems. However, these concerns arising from the experienced growth of the healthcare expenditure on cancer medicines cannot be justified by the rising incidence of cancer alone.

EU registration of aluminium extrusion imports from China step forward in fight against dumping

Today, the European Commission announced aluminium extrusions from China will be subject to registration by national customs authorities as of 25 August 2020 in the context of the ongoing extrusions anti-dumping investigation initiated in February this year. European Aluminium applauds this move and urges the Commission to adopt effective anti-dumping duties as soon as possible.
