EuropaBio and Members are proud to launch the 13^th edition of European Biotech Week (#EBW2025), which will take place across Europe from 29 September to 6 October 2025.

The week celebrates biotechnology and highlights cross-sectoral innovation in tackling global health, sustainability, and competitiveness challenges, with contributions from companies and biotechnology associations across Europe.

Dr Claire Skentelbery, Director General of EuropaBio, commented, “Biotechnology has established itself as a critical technology to champion the competitiveness and strength of the EU. Biotech Week demonstrates how it brings significant economic and societal value to our citizens.’’

About European Biotech Week

Launched in 2013, this annual event brings together scientists, companies, academics, students, policy makers, and other biotech stakeholders both physically and online.

The European Biotech Week serves as a platform to celebrate the remarkable advances in biotechnology, address relevant challenges for society and industry, and promote synergies for better collaboration.

It owes its continued success to the active participation of many organizations, companies, and individuals across Europe. Schools, universities, museums, companies, institutions, associations, and organizations are invited to host events during the Week, providing a unique opportunity to showcase their work, expertise and contributions to the field of biotechnology.
