Julie Hotchkiss joins ACCA’s executive team

Julie Hotchkiss has been appointed as executive director – people at ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), taking up her position on ACCA’s senior executive team on 1 November 2018. 
In this newly created role, Julie will be responsible for ACCA’s global human resources, talent and organisational capability. 
Commenting on her appointment, Helen Brand OBE, chief executive of ACCA says: ‘Julie has a deep and keen understanding of ACCA, having joined us in 2014 as our director of customer service. I’m delighted that Julie’s knowledge and skills will now be a key part of our executive team as we formulate our strategy to 2025. It’s a role that demonstrates our commitment to identifying and nurturing our global talent, which is ACCA’s greatest asset.’

About Julie Hotchkiss
Julie joined ACCA as director – customer service in August 2014, having previously held senior roles in both the private and public sectors. As director – customer service, Julie led a large team to deliver significant improvements to enhance ACCA’s customer experience. 
Between July 2016 and May 2017, Julie played a pivotal role in developing ACCA’s strategic alliance with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), which continues to increase the voice and influence of both bodies worldwide, bringing value to members and partners. 
In June last year, Julie became director – Europe and Americas, a geographic region comprising more than half of ACCA’s global membership. Since then, Julie has successfully implemented a number of projects and strategies to the markets in this region so they are well positioned to grow for the future.
