“Europe Out Loud is a podcast on European culture and civilisation, so when you look at the kind of competition we were up against, it’s really an exceptional win for us” said Tomi Huhtanen, executive director of the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies.
Shortlisted in the category “Digital Channel (Blog, Podcast, Video Channel, Magazine)” against the likes of BASF, Daimler, DAK-Gesundheit, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche and Geberit Vertriebs, the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies took home the award for its podcast series Europe Out Loud. The creation of its late head of communications, José Luis Fontalba, the show is written and presented by one of the centre’s researchers, Federico Ottavio Reho. The series aims to challenge commonly held assumptions about the European project in a tour de force through European history, culture and civilisation.
The 2018 edition of the Digital Communication Awards was held in Berlin on Friday, September 26. The DCA honour outstanding projects, campaigns and innovations in the field of online communications. Hosted by the Quadriga University of Applied Sciences since 2011, the DCA honour industry-leading online communications from across Europe.
