EU and US Authorities should put at the centre of their ICT dialogue the sustainability of the current Internet model and the need for a level playing field for all players offering ecommunications to citizens. This is the message to be conveyed by Luigi Gambardella, ETNO Executive Board Chair, on the occasion of meetings, in Washington DC, with US officials and industry representatives this week.

09 May 2012 – Brussels – The European Smart Metering Industry Group (ESMIG) believes that consumer awareness and involvement are key elements for the Smart Meter roll-out over the coming years to be successful, as consumer benefits in terms of energy and consumer savings will be significant. 

This was pointed out yesterday at a day-long workshop and showcase exhibition, which demonstrated and explained the benefits of Smart Metering technology. The event took place at the Scotland House Conference Centre, Brussels.

Casablanca - The newly created IRU Permanent Delegation for Africa today held a kick off Symposium on Trade and Road Transport Facilitation in Africa under the patronage of His Excellency, Mr Aziz Rabbah, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Kingdom of Morocco.
